When I started playing with my own jazz trio, with guitar, drums and organ, my band collegues started calling me "Mr. Leslie" or "Lennart Leslie" - I never found out, if this nick name came out of some sort of sympathy, or, more likely, my collegues made some kind of joke with me, since they were simply tired of carrying around these bulky B-3s and tone cabinets...

In the end, this nick name stayed with me and we did our first recording "Jammin' for Jeezebel" under this name - The Lennart Leslie Trio. The CD was recorded live in Berlin, featuring Olaf Schümann, Monsieur Voges on guitar, Jan Leipnitz on drums, and of course me myself on organ.
